Frequently Asked Questions:
How long does it take to resolve my problem?
Most problems can be resolved in four to eight visits. Sign up for a free phone consultation to find out more about your specific case.
Do I need a referral? Should I see my doctor before I go to physical therapy?
You don’t need a referral in the state of Colorado to see a physical therapist. This law allows patients to save time and money by going directly to their physical therapist without having to wait for appointments with other providers. Your insurance might require you to have a referral in order to get reimbursed.
Is it painful?
Patients always leave feeling better than when they arrived. Our goal is to promote pain-free movement.
Do you take insurance?
We process the following insurance:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Tricare/Triwest
- Humana
- Any insurance that has out-of-network benefits
We are in-network with the following insurance, but we don’t process them. That means the client pays CNC in full and then submits a superbill to the insurance for reimbursement to the client:
- Blue Cross and affiliates
- Anthem and affiliates
- Cigna and affiliates
- Healthshares
How much does it cost?

What is different about regaining my health with Colorado Nerve Care versus other providers?
Dr. Aronow is a Fellow in Pain Science. She understands that pain is produced via several pathways: brain/spinal cord, peripheral nervous system, and tissues. In addition, she is versed in the pain effects of hormones, sleep and the immune system. Many patients have had the experience of being examined and treated through one lens. Dr. Aronow examines and treats all the components of the pain experience in the journey to full recovery.
What can I do to help myself?
Check out our videos on the Patient Resources page. People who understand how their pain works have a 2-3 point decrease in pain on a 10 point scale. Use the Curable app to reinforce your understanding of your experience and gain control. Give your tissues the best environment by hydrating, eating mostly a plant-based diet, quitting smoking and using techniques such as mindfulness to decrease your stress. Make time to socialize. If this list sounds daunting, Dr. Aronow will coach you through it.
